Description
Classical Dressage Day Clinic
Immerse yourself in a clinic that looks at both equine and rider biomechanics, with methodology derived from Academic Art of Horsemanship principles, addressing aspects of the equine partnership, connection and refined communication as well as developing correct biomechanics, with functional movement for the horses soundness and longevity.
With a goal to develop strength and longevity through correct alignment, posture, balance and movement. Creating stability & support of both body and mind.
The two day clinic consists of three one on one sessions, where riders have the opportunity to work from the ground or in saddle. The theory segment, delves into a deeper understanding, through visual learning of anatomy and function as well as Q & A.
Ridden sessions work through balance and precision of the seat and how the horse moves beneath the rider and how we can influence the horses swing, balance and engagement with correct biomechanics of the rider.
Specific and individual exercises will be explained and worked through to improve the horse’s musculoskeletal imbalances and restrictions with movement therapy, aiming toward correct spinal alignment in lateral motion.
From the ground, riders have opportunity to explore the art form of in hand support- another wonderful tool and skill that helps both rider and horse to develop understanding of the exercises, while allowing the horse a chance to discover their balance and alignment.
Rehabilitation for both the body and the mind is also a part of the clinics, learning how to help the horse rebuild damaged and compromised structures or recover from psychological trauma.
Lessons are tailored to suit the specific horse and riders individual requirements and are suitable for ALL disciplines and levels, from young unbacked horses, through to performance level.
People just embarking on this journey are warmly welcomed!
If you are someone who loves to learn, is open to evolving for both horses and yourself, I highly suggest joining us for a clinic.
